Philly Fair Trade Roasters specializes in small-batch organic Arabica coffee, hand-roasted on a daily basis for maximum freshness. Our artisanal coffee can be found at select Philadelphia area cafes, restaurants and farmers markets.

Our roastmaster, Joe Cesa, has been roasting coffee in Philadelphia since 2002, previously as the proprietor of the first fair trade café in the city, Joe Coffee, at 11th and Walnut streets, and more recently in Pumpkin Market at 1610 South St.

In June 2010 our roaster arrived from Turkey and we started roasting in our new location at Four Worlds Bakery in West Philadelphia.

Our coffee is sourced from cooperatives in Honduras, Mexico, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and Colombia. We are committed to sustainable agriculture practices as well as ensuring that the farmers are paid more for their crop than they would receive from normal trade channels.
